Michael Oliver |
Michael Oliver has been named as the referee for Manchester United’s clash with Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The 32-year-old will take charge of the fixture between the top two teams in the division, with Gary Beswick and Simon Bennett his assistants and Jonathan Moss the fourth official.
Oliver was criticised by United manager Jose Mourinho last season, after he sent off Ander Herrera in the FA Cup quarter-final defeat against Chelsea.
Herrera is likely to start in midfield for the Red Devils, as Paul Pogba begins a three-match suspension. Nemanja Matic and Marouane Fellaini are also doubts for the Derby, while Michael Carrick is a long term absentee.
United go into the encounter eight points behind rivals City
