Kylian Mbappe : Paris Saint-Germain star wins Golden Boy award

Mbappe, 18, beat off competition from Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, 20, and Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele, 20, to be named the standout player on the continent under the age of 21. The French teenager had a breakthrough season at Monaco last term, scoring 26 goals in 44 appearances, before completing a loan move to the Parc des Princes ahead of the 2017/18 campaign. Mbappe has hit the ground running at PSG, scoring four goals and providing four assists in his opening 11 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants.

Italian outlet Tuttosport announced the winner on Monday morning and the France international won by a landslide with 291 votes. Barca’s summer signing Dembele came second after receiving 149 votes.
